Haven't seen you in while. You did not hear about the terrible incidents yet? No? You are pretty isolated in that outpost, hum.Listen up: Some small prairie cities have been drained, the inhabitants needed to sell their land because the water disappeared. Now the water is short in Newport - the major town of The West. Newport is needing help, they are searching for a hero, it is all over the news. Go over to the news station and have a look.

You have to get back to the Outpost? I see, if you change your mind about helping Newport let me know.You are very sorry about the happenings in Newport, but you have another urgent task: The Outpost. Plus you cannot just abandon the Indians. You explain your situation to the sheriff. Now back to duty, back to the Outpost.

You explain to the sheriff that you really need to get to your Outpost.As you returned to the outpost it was in a complete turmoil. The fort was ambushed by gem thieves - all the gems have been stolen from the mine, some Indians are injured, and where the hell is your coyote Shoe?You hurry to the sheriff and tell him what happened. Sheriff:Maybe you can still seize some of the bandits. They cannot be too far.

Sheriff:So, you have been able to chase down some petty criminals, but none were related to the ambush. Still no sign of your coyote Shoe either. Maybe the thieves took him with them. The culprits need to be punished, but you have no clue where to start investigating.

A witness reported he saw some men driving a fully loaded carriage. They have been in a hurry to get to Rattlesnake Canyon. You don't know where that is? That's a notorious hideout for all kinds of rascals and scoundrels. You can find it centered North of the map.
 Slut
I advise you to be wary of strangers in Rattlesnake canyon. The police never investigates there because it is way too dangerous.

You are awe-struck by the might of this canyon. How will you ever find the culprits in here? If Shoe was with you he would find a trail in a jiffy - but he was kidnapped. You decide to pitch a base camp here for your investigation.

The camp looks neat. But you cannot escape the nagging feeling that pairs of eyes are observing you from the undergrowth. Creepy. You miss your loyal friend Shoe and hope nothing has happened to him.

The next day...You wake up with a harsh ache in your back. Time to start the search. You search through the woods of Rattlesnake canyon and come upon a deep mine. Seems to be a good spot to hide a ton on gems in. You head off to sneak a closer peak at that mine.

What a non-starter. No single clue in the mine. As you prowl back to your camp you see a figure meddling with your stuff. Silently you sneak up.

A strange figure is fumbling with your stuff at your return to the base camp.You:Freeze! Who are you and what are you fumbling around my camp? Where is my coyote and all the gems?The figure seems shocked to see you but the turns to run away. As quick as a wink you draw your weapon.

You:Huh? A girl? Are you one of the ambushers? Where are the gems?Girl:No, I have nothing to do with any ambush... My name is Sam, I am from Newport. Look, I heard stories about you, you are quite famous around the prairie. I thought maybe if I can track you down I could ask for your help. Newport is in despair, we have no water left, and people keep disappearing every day.You have no time and have your own issues. You explain to her your situation and send her away nice but firmly. She leaves deeply disappointed.

Newport will turn to a ghost town soon if nothing is done. You have to help us.
